It is also the most common type of dementia among elderly which involves the parts of the brain that control thought, memory, and even language. Scientists are still searching for facts about the causes of Alzheimer’s disease.

Alzheimer’s association conducted the nation's largest event, the Alzheimer's Memory Walk. The typical Memory Walk of 2-3 mile walk held on a weekend morning in the fall. The event aimed to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer care, support and research.
