MILOW - Jonathan Vandenbroeck

This afternoon after office, I went to Landco tower to meet Maya, my half foreign, half pinay friend who is working at the 7th/F LGSPA office. She also worked as a part time host of “Viewfinder” at Davao's Best FM station 105.9 Mixfm, every sunday 8pm-9:30pm. I arrived at exactly 5:30pm. At first, we planned to meet at Basti’s Brew coffee shop to have wifi and do the blogging stuff tutorials. Anyway, I went to visit their office and we headed to the coffee shop together. And there, we ate a lot of Basti’s especials while chuckling on some unfamiliar commands through Maya’s Macbook which is different from windows notebook.

As we go over the net, and opened this schmaltzy and a very sentimental music video…

And man, guess what??? it’s maya’s cousin, her famous and a well-known cousin from Belgium, Jonathan Vandenbroeck. Well, I’ll tell you short story about this guy which I’ve learned from his cousin Maya Flaminda Javellana Vandenbroeck as we had our conversation.
Jonathan (yo-na-than) Vandenbroeck, a Belgian singer-songwriter Milow released his debut album, The Bigger Picture, in early 2006, few people had an idea what he was all about. Indeed, he had gained local notoriety two years prior when he became a finalist in the Rock Rally, a local battle of the bands, and his first single, “More Familiar,” had received some modest airplay from several Belgian national radio stations, but his appeal with critics and fans alike was just taking root.
Today, in his native country of Belgium, Milow is a household name. He has been rocketed to regional stardom, in part due to the success of his smash hit “You Don’t Know,” which reached number three in Belgium’s national singles chart and helped to sell over 13,500 copies of the album on which it originally appeared. Last year, Milow was presented with a TMF Award for Best New Artist, VRT Radio 2 ordained him the “Most Promising Newcomer of 2006”, and at the beginning of 2008, he won 3 Belgian Music Industry Awards (Best Music Video, Best Breakthrough, Best Song). It is not surprising that many are excited to find out what the future has in store for him.
I like most of his music compositions, as I’ve checked all the uploaded music video from youtube and scrutinized the background about this group. To my surprise, it is indeed, became my icon. I’ve learned that their parents are also from a very big family like 15 siblings as maya told me about it. Wow! It’s kinda BIG! They must be living in a very big house! I guess that’s where they got the band name MILOW. (wild guess) hehehe
We finished at around 9:30pm, we took a cab and went home...

Lunch Break

Lunch break with peaceful and reminiscing ambiance. While eating my lunch-packed from Jollibee, (thanks to Kuya Alfonso again!) I managed to browse my winamp player and loaded this album from Kevin Kern, a pianist, composer and a recording artist. Let me tell you a little story about this man. He was actually born in Detroit, began playing piano at the tender age of 18 months. Though legally blind since birth, his exceptional talent soon became clear. His earliest musical influence was jazz legend George Shearing, whom he met as a child. With George as a mentor, Kevin developed an early love of improvisation and an appreciation for the beautiful sound a piano could produce. In addition to Shearing’s contribution, he received an extensive classical education. From these experiences, Kevin developed his trademark sound where melodies exude lyricism, simplicity, and a directness that touches the heart of the listener.

Obviously, I had a great moment unwinding with those serene music. I guess my boss (Mr. Saunders) loves the music also…. LOL! It’s kinda gloomy but relaxing… it helps you feel cool and get your mood back (whenever infuriating idiot strikes you, hahaha). But believe me, I’m not into it, and hope will never be.

Actually, I love playing music the entire day here in the office while working, in any genre. Apparently, my boss and the rest of us loves to hear tuneful music while working. And so most of the time the four corner of the room hemmed in with cool, relaxing and harmonious music with all the good quality speaker on my side. LOL! In fairness, we produced quality and competitive output. Hehehe! Til then, Back to work now!

Hurricane?

Dr. Bob, a friend from Cebu called me up at around 11pm last night informing that they are having a powerful tropical storm sweeping across their area. Going to the Philippine Sea and is expected to lash the eastern edge of the country. I received confirmation from Hermann, that Roosevelt, who is also a friend of mine, called him up describing the same scenario about the storm. Quickly, I called up Nae Ann, our former film director and a friend, who is also working in the same area, to check their situation there. Someone picked up and answered my call telling that she’s asleep despite the storm and to my surprised t’was her boyfriend. Ohh, it means that they’re quite okay there.

I rushed into latest news over the net about the storm (thanks to my reliable smart broadband connection.LOL!). Accordingly, the storm called Fengshen, was 180 kilometres east of the central island of Samar, moving north-west at 15 kilometres per hour. Fengshen has brought winds of 110 kilometres per hour, with gusts rising to 140 kilometres per hour.

In the next three days, the storm will pass along the eastern side of the central and northern Philippines. Previously, the heavy rains brought by the storm have caused minor flooding in parts of the country.

I got now the answers to my questions about the series of heavy rain and overflowing flood the entire city of Davao that causes casualties and damages to everyone.

Pay Per Post

I got home too late today around 3:30am in the morning from having great time with friends barhopping. Then swiftly switched on my pc and checked my emails and offline messages from ym, then suddenly the message automatically prompted. I got this confirmation message from blog marketing notifying me that they have approved my blog site. WOW! I have been waiting for my blog to be approved by payperpost for a month already. I was tired of waiting for approval. In my mind they might have rejected my blogsite. I signed up last month, waited for more than a month. Alas! Now I can start my money making through payperpost.

Apparently, I can now earn extra cash through my blogging stuff with payperpost. By then, I could have my leisure time through earning from blog advertising webpage. I am pleased to have this opportunity and explore their marketplace.

The marketplace, a self-serve with easy application service. It allows advertisers to reach out the network of over 50,000 posties in the system. Posties are usually called as bloggers. In behalf of PayPerPost advertisers, the posties or bloggers will have to create review, promote and market products, services and websites and get paid. Now I am aiming for $20 as my first blog for Payperpost ads. Hope that I can make it. LOL! So you too could start your blog now and earn extra cash.

NBA Finals - Boston Celtics Won Their 17th Title

As we are having our lunch in the office with delicious and tasty food delivered from Mandarin, kuya Alfonso (Matdev driver) arrived and swiftly browsed the net for the latest NBA Finals' result. We enjoyed watching each video from www.nba.com. The Boston Celtics won during the 17th NBA title in inexorable fashion, thrashing the L.A. Lakers 131-92 to win the NBA Finals in six games. Dating back to the Larry Bird era, It’s Celtics' first title in 22 years.

Boston's 39-point win surpassed the NBA record for the biggest margin of victory in a championship clincher. The 1965 Celtics beat the Lakers by 33 to win the title that year.

These Celtics completed the greatest one-year turnaround in NBA history. Last season they won just 24 games and missed the playoffs. This season they won 66 regular-season games and finished with a playoff-record 13 home wins.

Paul Pierce, was named MVP of the finals, spent his entire career wearing Celtic green. Averaged more than 21 points in the NBA Finals and scored 17 in the clinching win. The other two members of Boston's Big Three, Kevin Garnett and Ray Allen, each scored 26. BOSTON CELTICS RULES! HeheheÜ

Ces Drilon Is Free!

My online buddy Mark Ferdinand Tayag, had this status message “Ces Drilon is free” through Yahoo Messenger. And so I hastened to check the latest news about it over the net, gazed the latest uploaded videos in youtube. Indeed, Ces Drilon and her company are finally all freed by their abductors in Talipao, Sulu at around 11 p.m. on Tuesday, June 17.

The relatives of Dinampo, Drilon and Encarnacion had repeatedly said they could not afford to pay ransom as the ABS-CBN report did not say if ransom was paid to secure the group’s release. ABS-CBN had repeatedly said they would not pay ransom.

"Ces, Jimmy, and Angelo are finally all free," ABS-CBN said in a statement. "We are thankful our prayers have been answered and our efforts rewarded." Without the cooperation of the people of Sulu and their local government, the release of Ces, Jimmy, and Angelo could not have been possible.

Let us all continue the prayers for PEACE in the whole world, especially here in the Philippines, particularly here in Mindanao. May PEACE, LOVE and UNITY with one another will be victorious.

Ces Oreña Drilon Abducted by Abu Sayyaf

A peace advocate and broadcast journalist Ces Oreña Drilon of ABS-CBN and her crew, have been reported missing and are believed to have been abducted in Sulu, the Mindanao Peoples Caucus (MPC) said in a statement. Reports gathered by MPC said they were reportedly abducted around 9 a.m. Monday somewhere between the towns of Kulasi and Maimbung.

Residents reportedly told Maimbung Mayor Najib Maldisa that Dinampo and Drilon's group were "blocked" by armed men, but members of the Tulong Lupah Sug (TLS), a Jolo-based non-government organization Dinampo also heads, said they have not yet concluded that the two were, indeed, kidnapped.

Earlier in the day, police and military personnel went to the residence of Dinampo to conduct preliminary inquiries about the alleged kidnapping, the MPC said.

MPC secretary-general, Lawyer Mary Ann Arnado, confirmed that Drilon and Dinampo “had been missing since Monday morning."

Pilot (#1_101)

6th day of July last year we had a great experience together with my colleagues with the simple surprise birthday party to my good friend coicoi. His girlfriend sheng (a.k.a tabaching²) initiated the said surprise gift for him. It was celebrated in a very romantic, cool acoustic live music, fresh smelling surrounding Gardeña Fresca, the Garden Restaurant located at Morales Village, Matina Davao City, Philippines. Friends and the celebrant were able to share the simple surprise granted by my social group.

Talking about surprise gift, Jinx, Marshal Mary Shannon’s man-crazy mother, initiated a surprise birthday gift for her daughter. The mother who is crazy about man planned to give her daughter a surprise birthday celebration. Nothing compares to the special gift received from a man-crazy mother.

A Strong Prayer

Just wanna share this!

A Strong Prayer - God Has Amazing Things in Store for You

Stars do not struggle to shine, rivers do not struggle

to flow, and you will never struggle to excel in life, because you
deserve the best. Hold on to your dream and it shall be well with you...
Amen.

The eyes beholding this message shall not behold evil,
the hand that will send this message to others shall not labor in vain,
the mouth saying Amen to this prayer shall laugh forever, and
remain in God's love.

Your dream will not die, your plans will not fail, your
destiny will not be aborted, and the desire of your heart will be
granted in Jesus name.

Say a big AMEN and if you believe it, send it to all your friends.

Money will know your name and address before the end of
this month. If you believe, send it back to all your friends. No one
goes to the river early in the morning and brings dirty water. As you wake up
in the morning, may your life be clean, calm and clear like the early

morning water. May the grace of the Almighty support, sustain and
supply all your needs according to His riches in glory. Amen.
Love the Lord. Have a wonderful day in Jesus' name.

The will of God will never take you where the grace of God
will not protect you. I see something good happening to you.
This is not a joke; you are going to receive a divine visitation
that will move your life forward mightily by the outworking of God's
unstoppable Power.

Do not break this prayer; Repost this and tag all
friends in your list....

You are blessed beyond all curses in Jesus' name!

And I'm TAGGING YOU!!!!
