My online buddy Mark Ferdinand Tayag, had this status message “Ces Drilon is free” through Yahoo Messenger. And so I hastened to check the latest news about it over the net, gazed the latest uploaded videos in youtube. Indeed, Ces Drilon and her company are finally all freed by their abductors in Talipao, Sulu at around 11 p.m. on Tuesday, June 17.
The relatives of Dinampo, Drilon and Encarnacion had repeatedly said they could not afford to pay ransom as the ABS-CBN report did not say if ransom was paid to secure the group’s release. ABS-CBN had repeatedly said they would not pay ransom.
"Ces, Jimmy, and Angelo are finally all free," ABS-CBN said in a statement. "We are thankful our prayers have been answered and our efforts rewarded." Without the cooperation of the people of Sulu and their local government, the release of Ces, Jimmy, and Angelo could not have been possible.
Let us all continue the prayers for PEACE in the whole world, especially here in the Philippines, particularly here in Mindanao. May PEACE, LOVE and UNITY with one another will be victorious.
