Alzheimer’s Disease

In the medical field, Alzheimer’s disease is known as a type of brain disorder that is progressive, irreversible, degenerative neurological disease. It is characterized by loss of cognitive function and disturbance in behavior. Often death occurs due to complications, such as pneumonia, malnutrition, and dehydration. Hanging Garden

Unexpectedly, I was able to watch this film just last Saturday. At first I never had the interest to really watch it, all I want that time was to sleep inside the cinema since it’s open to the public (free admission) so decided to spend my whole Saturday there. Sleeping and snoring inside the cinema(hahaha! sssshhh!)… when all of a sudden a very loud sound effect thudded within the four corner of the room. That was really weird! The sound awakens my soul while sleeping in the dark. And I look over the walls and I saw screenshots that catches my attention. And then I started to follow what was the story all about.

It was actually about this simple family that seems to be very happy living together but on the inside the reality is different. Having their rule that no one would hide any secrets from each other and yet each member has their own secrets. This film is a character driven drama pertaining to the story of a family struggling to find the way to happiness. It is alternatively funny, really touching and in some places quite frightening. It is also an exploration of the problems that plague a modern Japanese family, giving us a unique view that can be appreciated by those both within and outside of the Japan’s culture.

Hanging Garden is one of the three Japanese Film featured during the Japanese Film Festival screened last Friday and Saturday @ GS Citimall, Ilustre here in Davao.

The film ended with realization that opens the eyes of the people. I was touched! Another learning… another chance…

Multi-Grade

One, two, three… eight… nine… fifteen… twenty! Counting all the rivers we crossed during our documentary of the Multi-grade in a remote place of Liniputan Elementary School, located in Pantukan, Montevista, Davao del Norte. We took a total of 3 hours away from Davao City. 2 hours from Davao to Pantukan Division office of DepEd (by Pajero), and we took another car (I don’t know what car it was for mountain travel) for another 1 hour just to cross 20 rivers to reach Liniputan area (supposedly it’s 27 but we took the shortcut hehehe!). And man, believe me, Mountains bordered surround it and while rivers trapped around the small school for multi-grade levels.

We took footages while on our way. Flordy took photos while I was taking videos.

Multi-grade involves the teaching of children from two or more grade levels in one classroom. Such context requires the employment of particular teaching methodologies and classroom administration.

Since Multi-grade classes are smaller and can be established more cheaply than complete schools, they can be more numerous. Therefore, more dispersed and thus located closer to the settlements where the children live. The assigned teacher would really have to live near them, for it will take you 27 rivers to get there. LOL! The school happens to be located where it is bordered by rivers and it’s even kilometres away from urban. This means both that younger children can attend and spend travelling by crossing rivers everyday just to get into school. But for them attending school is therefore likely to be more acceptable to the families concerned, as improvement to each one another escalates. And thus both increase the number of children receiving education and reduce the failure rate.

Multi-grade schools, being smaller and more dispersed, teacher would enjoy much closer links with the smaller communities that they would be setting up to serve.

This would have a very positive effect on local attitudes and access to education.

This kind of job is not easy to do without putting your heart into it. Imagine yourself being isolated in one place in a remote and far-flung area, feels like being exiled. Isn’t it? A dedicated and committed being immersed herself into great sacrifice. She gave up everything, life in the city, friends and relatives, but because of love and perseverance in teaching to where her heart belongs to. Her passion in teaching multi-grade for nine (9) years leads her into a promotion for Principal and will be assigned to be the coordinator of Multi-grade in their division. Well, she deserved it! Congratulations to Ma’am Annabelle Isaac.

Cisco Certification

As a computer Science graduate from a prestigious and International accredited School here in the Philippines. I took also Cisco Networking during my college years as part of our curriculum. And I never had any regrets in enrolling my course. Apparently, Cisco Networking has been generally the international language that connects the world. In my case, I have been thinking of continuing my course into another level. I want to enhance and advance my knowledge about the latest trends and technology. I have learned a lot of things in CISCO to which persuades me to proceed into higher level. I have never been using my knowledge in my current job for I have been focused on software implementation, like graphic illustration and designing. But I’m trying to sustain what I have learned as an IT professional. Research, hopping all over the net and explore to increase my knowledge about it. Troubleshooting my personal computer and helping friends in installing their routers and some other stuff in line with computers.

To nourish my knowledge with current trends, I tend to join and participate in exciting conversations about advancing career, and for me to discover a lot more about the future of networking technology. Improving my technical career through online classes would be my channel for sustainability. And so I am planning to have online review and take examination for Cisco certification for some opportunities awaits for me soon. Knowledge in Cisco Networking increases credibility for some opportunities especially in terms of technical and other technological reference.

My scheduled saturday party night was cancelled. I never thought that this things could happen. And its even not turning on again... So bad, I'm not yet finish. I have to finish it so badly. I texted all my colleagues that inevitable things happened... downshifted and disgusted. A friend texted me, "Where are you?, we're waiting... come now"... "Sorry, i can't make it for now, enjoy the party dude." I replied. I lied down to my bed and try to divert my attention. "I need to fix this soon..." I said to myself. worried!

INTERESTING CONVERSATION

Hi guyz, I got this from my friend ALfredo J. Ampac. Just wanna share this to all of you... Hope you'll like it.

Pls. repost this INTERESTING CONVERSATION.... TAG ALL YOUR FRIENDS in YouR bLog List...

An Atheist Professor of Philosophy speaks to his Class on the Problem Science has with GOD, The ALMIGHTY.

He asks one of his New Christian Students to stand and . . ...

Professor : You are a Christian, aren't you, son ?
Student : Yes, sir.
Professor : So you Believe in GOD ?
Student : Absolutely, sir.
Professor : Is GOD Good ?
Student : Sure.
Professor : Is GOD ALL - POWERFUL ?
Student : Yes.
Professor : My Brother died of Cancer even though he Prayed to GOD to Heal him..

Most of us would attempt to Help Others who are ill.

But GOD didn't.

How is this GOD Good then ? Hmm ?

( Student is silent )

Professor : You can't answer, can you ?

Let's start again, Young Fella.

Is GOD Good ?
Student : Yes.
Professor : Is Satan good ?
Student : No.
Professor : Where does Satan come from ?
Student : From . .. . GOD . . .
Professor : That's right.

Tell me son, is there evil in this World ?
Student : Yes.
Professor : Evil is everywhere, isn't it ?

And GOD did make Everything. Correct ?
Student : Yes.
Professor : So who created evil ?

( Student does not answer )

Professor : Is there Sickness ? Immorality ? Hatred ? Ugliness ?

All these terrible things exist in the World, don't they ?
Student : Yes, sir.
Professor : So, who Created them ?

( Student has no answer )

Professor : Science says you have 5 Senses you use to Identify and Observe the World around you.

Tell me, son . . . Have you ever Seen GOD ?
Student : No, sir.
Professor : Tell us if you have ever Heard your GOD ?
Student : No , sir.
Professor : Have you ever Felt your GOD, Tasted your GOD, Smelt your GOD ?

Have you ever had any Sensory Perception of GOD for that matter ?
Student : No, sir.. I'm afraid I haven't.
Professor : Yet you still Believe in HIM ?

Student : Yes.
Professor : According to Empirical, Testable, Demonstrable Protocol, Science says your GOD doesn't exist.

What do you say to that, son ?
Student : Nothing. I only have my Faith.
Professor : Yes. Faith. And that is the Problem Science has.
Student : Professor, is there such a thing as Heat ?
Professor : Yes.
Student : And is there such a thing as Cold ?
Professor : Yes.
Student : No sir. There isn't.

( The Lecture Theatre becomes very quiet with this turn of events )

Student : Sir, you can have Lots of Heat, even More Heat, Superheat, Mega Heat, White Heat,
a Little Heat or No Heat. But we don't have anything called Cold. We can hit 458 Degrees below Zero which is No Heat, but we can't go any further after that. There is no such thing as Cold. Cold is only a Word we use to describe the Absence of Heat. We cannot Measure Cold. Heat is Energy. Cold is Not the Opposite of Heat, sir, just the Absence of it.

( There is Pin - Drop Silence in the Lecture Theatre )

Student : What about Darkness, Professor ? Is there such a thing as Darkness ?
Professor : Yes. What is Night if there isn't Darkness ?
Student : You're wrong again, sir.

Darkness is the Absence of Something. You can have Low Light, Normal Light, Bright Light, Flashing Light.... But if you have No Light Constantly, you have Nothing and it's called Darkness, isn't it ? In reality, Darkness isn't. If it is, were you would be able to make Darkness Darker, wouldn't you ?

Professor : So what is the point you are making, Young Man ?
Student : Sir, my point is your Philosophical Premise is Flawed.
Professor : Flawed ? Can you explain how ?
Student : Sir, you are working on the Premise of Duality.

You argue there is Life and then there is Death, a Good GOD and a Bad GOD. You are viewing the Concept of GOD as something finite, something we can measure. Sir, Science can't even explain a Thought. It uses Electricity and Magnetism, but has never seen, much less fully understood either one.

To view Death as the Opposite of Life is to be ignorant of the fact that Death cannot exist as a Substantive Thing. Death is Not the Opposite of Life : just the Absence of it.

Now tell me, Professor, do you Teach your Students that they Evolved from a Monkey?

Professor : If you are referring to the Natural Evolutionary Process, yes, of course, I do.
Student : Have you ever observed Evolution with your own eyes, sir ?

( The Professor shakes his head with a Smile, beginning to realize where the Argument is going )

Student : Since no one has ever observed the Process of Evolution at work and cannot even prove that this Process is an On - Going Endeavor, are you not Teaching your Opinion, sir ? Are you not a Scientist but a Preacher ?

( The Class is in Uproar )

Student : Is there anyone in the Class who has ever Seen the Professor's Brain ?

( The Class breaks out into Laughter )

Student : Is there anyone here who has ever Heard the Professor's Brain, Felt it, Touched or Smelt it ? . .. .. No one appears to have done so.

So, according to the Established Rules of Empirical, Stable, Demonstrable Protocol, Science says that you have No Brain, sir.

With all due respect, sir, how do we then Trust your Lectures, sir ?

( The Room is Silent. The Professor stares at the Student, his face unfathomable )

Professor : I guess you'll have to take them on Faith, son.
Student : That is it sir . . .

the Link between Man & GOD is Faith.

That is all that Keeps Things Moving & Alive.

NB:
I believe you have enjoyed the Conversation . . . and if so . . ...

you'll probably want your Friends / Colleagues to enjoy the same .. . . won't you ? . . .

Forward them to Increase their Knowledge . . .. or Faith

It turned out later that the student is Albert Einstein…

I'M TagGiNg YOU now...

Dungeon Runners 3D Games

Today, I woke up late coz I know its again Saturday… I know I could have a great time on my bed sleeping… hahaha! I opened my pc to do my daily routine… checking my blogs, checking my offline messages… checking my opps… and all the stuff that needs to be checked daily... I received another opps from socialspark and go through the site that sponsors the opps. And so from there I was entertained with the free games from Dungeonrunners.com. I have tried exploring the exciting realm of magic, adventure, and giant icky monsters! Where I was able to play the game for free. And that was really great coz it’s a 3D fantasy world. You can visit Bling Gnome to adventure!

I have explored richly detailed dungeons, battle ferocious monsters and discovered some incredible weapons, artifacts and loot. In this free game you can actually play in different set-up. You might play as a fighter, a Mage or even a ranger and release powerful new skills by gaining experience and have your own strategies with your journey into the unknown.

You can fight evil hordes as a solitary warrior or you can have your team also with online friends to carve a path of destruction through your different opponents, this Dungeon Runners will slake your deepest dungeon-crawling thirst. I was able to amuse my boredom today with some adventure I have walked all through out this free game. Genuinely Fantastic!

Oops! I did it again...

I told my self not to eat again in a Vietnamese Restaurant somewhere up there in Shrine hills or anywhere in the city after my unforgettable date with my long time college crush dated February 14, 2006. Me and dannie, one of my closest friend who planned to have a double valentine date together. And we did, we headed to Jeckoy's Restaurant located at the back part of the hills of Shrine. And man! t'was damn very EXPENSIVE... I never thought that we'll pay much much money for that simple food that are being served in front of us. I was not even able to fill my stomach with their food. I was not even full that time... I was like eating half cup of rice after all. tsk tsk tsk too bad!

Anyway, today i just took my dinner at Hanoi, a Vietnamese Restaurant @ Damosa Gateway, Lanang IT Park. I was with the production people of AdTech Management, where most of the people are my friends. It was actually a meeting, contract signing for the upcoming commercial shooting for the Sychar Hotel advertisement stuff and things like that.. LOL! Surrounded by the talents where one of my closest friend jeffy, an Egyptian, grown in Kuwait, and an engineering student of AMA, is part of it. I was introduced as the talent manager of jeffy. (LOL to the MAX). I was there because jeffy couldn't go there without me 'coz as he said, "I don't wanna act there alone... join me..." waaahhh! as if I'm using one of his feet. tsk tsk tsk!

Food were all delicious and I ate a lot... I don't have to worry this time 'cause we'll eat more food and it's all for FREE! YAM! YAM! YAM! Deliciouso!! damn... imagine??? I shouldn't have taken my dinner earlier! tahahaha! I ate a lot with nothing to bother about the payment! The restaurant is actually one of the sponsors of the commercial! WOW!... Free Food! And then i said to myself, "Oopps! I did it again..." hehehe but in my mind "It's Free anyway... hahaha!" The difference was... Before I ate then I paid, today, i ate then they paid! waaaaahhh LOL! that's why! that's the difference! LOL! and so I realized that I have swallowed my words. Hahaha! fuNny expeRieNnce!

(I'll post soon footages of the food that we ate)
