Alzheimer’s Disease

In the medical field, Alzheimer’s disease is known as a type of brain disorder that is progressive, irreversible, degenerative neurological disease. It is characterized by loss of cognitive function and disturbance in behavior. Often death occurs due to complications, such as pneumonia, malnutrition, and dehydration. It is also the most common type of dementia among elderly which involves the parts of the brain that control thought, memory, and even language. Scientists are still searching for facts about the causes of Alzheimer’s disease.

Alzheimer’s association conducted the nation's largest event, the Alzheimer's Memory Walk. The typical Memory Walk of 2-3 mile walk held on a weekend morning in the fall. The event aimed to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer care, support and research. You can walk with a purpose by teaming up with the Alzheimer's Association, and let us move closer to a world without the disease that so-called Alzheimer's. Moving the nation together for a purpose.

(i think acetylcholine or the enzyme cholinesterase has something to do with the disease)
